Union & Logansport Railroad Co.
Construction began in 1863 on this line linking Union City, Ohio/Ind. (Darke Co./Randolph Co.) with Logansport, Ind. (Cass Co.) and the Chicago & Great Eastern Railroad. The Pennsylvania Railroad provided some of the financing. The U&L line was completed in 1867. That same year it was consolidated with the Columbus & Indiana Central and the Toledo, Logansport & Burlington to form the Columbus, Chicago & Indiana Central.
